In August we travelled to Mexico for Mara (my beautiful sister in-law) and Niel’s wedding, it was amazing! So why Mexico for the wedding location? Well Mara lives in Mainland China, Niel lives in Hong Kong and both their families live in the USA (besides Caleb and I who live in Australia) so they wanted a destination close to where the majority of their families lived!

We (aprox 28 of us) stayed in a hacienda a block from the beach leading up to the wedding. There was our own private pool, chef, maid and bartender and we spent our days zip lining (not me), getting massages on the beach (me), swimming and having second dinners…better known as late night 70c tacos. Mara and Niel’s wedding was held on the beach in Bucerias and it was a real family affair…Mara’s Dad Larry conducted the ceremony, Mara’s mum (mom for all you American readers) Leslie did the flowers and I took the photos! Once the ceremony was over we were greeted by the biggest mariachi band I’ve ever seen and they were incredible, as well as making beautiful music they danced and made firework sounds with their mouths…the first time they did it we were all looking up into the sky trying to spot them!

Thanks to Mara and Niel for asking me to take your photos, Caleb and I had the most wonderful time! Also a big thanks to Katie who stepped in and took the family photos I needed to be in, you did a fantastic job. Lastly for the family members who think that there aren’t many photos in this blog post, there are way more, trust me I didn’t miss anything…enjoy!
